Variety Show |
|
During fall 2008, the Washington Seminar interns and the Institute students became good friends and decided to have a variety show for their last FHE. The show opened with an act entitled “Live from the Barlow Center—It’s Variety Show Night.” Patterned after the television show “Saturday Night Live,” various skits were included in the presentation. The first two acts were Elder & Sister Blanchard, Professor Donna Lee Bowen, and her husband Jim Barnes; they were quite hysterical. The students kept up the pace they set and everyone had a blast. Cameras were flashing all night, and many wished that they had recorded the whole thing. It was certainly a night that will be remembered.

Cecily Vincent and Diana Lewis also performed a skit entitled the “Palin / Hillary Open.” Their presentation kept the audience laughing as they accentuated some differences between Governor Palin and Senator Clinton |
